MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships at Finnish Centre of Excellence in Tax Systems Research at Tampere University

FIT is inviting proposals for applications to the EU-funded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions program!

Are you a postdoc with high ambitions, working on topics connected to FIT research, and interested in joining our team through the program? Send us a brief proposal for an application to the program by 23rd April!

Finnish Centre of Excellence in Tax Systems Research (FIT) at the Faculty of Management and Business at Tampere University, Finland, is looking for postdoctoral researchers interested in applying for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) in the 2025 call.

FIT is inviting proposals from postdocs with high ambitions, working on topics connected to FIT research, e.g.

  • firms and public policy
  • tax enforcement
  • income, wealth and health inequality
  • healthcare markets and public policy

Please note that in addition to the above topics, we are interested in all research with a connection to, or complementarities with, FIT research!

Who can apply

  • You must have a PhD degree (by 10.9.2025).
  • You must not have more than 8 years of experience in research, from the date of the award of your PhD degree.
  • You must not have resided or carried your main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Finland for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline (10.9.2025).

What is covered

MSCA PF grant covers 1 – 2 years’ salary, mobility (and family) allowance for the postdoc, and research costs and overheads for the host institution. The package is very competitive.


How to apply

  1. Send a Letter of Intent

Send a letter of intent to the research group leader whose group you are interested in joining (kaisa.kotakorpi@tuni.fi and/or Jarkko.t.harju@tuni.fi), cc to hanna.salminen@tuni.fi and preaward@tuni.fi. Add “MSCA-PF” to the subject of your email. The letter must contain:

  1. max one-page description of your project idea,
  2. max two-page CV, and
  3. a confirmation that you meet the above listed eligibility criteria.

You can also contact the hosting PI and ask for more information before sending the letter of intent.

The deadline for indicating interest and sending the requested material is 23.4.2025

2. Join the Masterclass

If there is a match between you and the intended host/supervisor and you are eligible to apply according to the MSCA PF rules, you will be invited to an online Masterclass that supports you in preparing  a competitive proposal. 

The masterclass takes place in May-June.

3. Submit your Proposal

After the Masterclass, you will submit a proposal for funding in liaison with your supervisor and our University. Proposals are judged on their research quality, the researcher’s future career prospects, and the support offered by the host organization.

Application submission deadline to EU is 10.9.2025.
